We are here once again to share Muriel Thomson’s annual newsletter for 2021.

The year 2021 showcased remarkable resilience as the projects navigated the ongoing pandemic to ensure no child was left behind. By bridging the digital divide with technology access, students were empowered to continue their education through online classes despite school closures. Furthermore, emergency food provisions provided a critical safety net for families who lost their livelihoods during the lockdown.

Key Achievements:

  • Mobile phones were funded to allow children to participate in online school classes during lockdowns.

  • Food provision packages were supplied to families of supported students who lost their income.

  • After-school homework classes were safely resumed with social distancing to assist students.

  • Targeted COVID-19 Health Awareness Programmes were conducted in rural villages by a dedicated nurse.
