Imagine growing up unable to clearly hear your mother’s voice, the sounds around you, or your teacher in the classroom. For a child, hearing plays an important role in acquiring spoken language, communication, learning and social interaction. With your support, Little Drops Charity Trust is launching Shravana 2026 to help create opportunities for these children to communicate, learn, play with friends and participate at school.
Untreated childhood hearing loss can affect speech and language development, cognitive development, social interaction, education, psychological wellbeing and future employment and economic opportunities. For children who already have hearing loss, early identification followed by appropriate care can make an enormous difference. Depending on the individual child, interventions can include medical or surgical treatment, hearing aids, cochlear implants, rehabilitation, speech and language support, sign language and other assistive technologies.
The Shravana 2026 event will feature an Evening of Entertainment & Dance, including:
- Three-course Indian meal
- Ballroom Dancing
- Bhangra
- Neil Diamond tribute
- Magician
All proceeds will support the project helping deaf children in India. We hope you will join us for this fun and rewarding event!
