We are happy to share Muriel Thomson’s annual newsletter for 2019.

In 2019, continued dedication to five distinct projects in Tamil Nadu brought significant improvements to the health, education, and welfare of children. The expansion of medical facilities, including a new clinic in Dharmapuri, and the sustained support of after-school centers underscore a deep commitment to rural and vulnerable populations. Students consistently demonstrated academic excellence, pushing through rigorous exams to secure brighter futures.

Key Achievements:

  • A new medical clinic was funded to provide local healthcare access for rural families in Dharmapuri.

  • A specialized home placement was secured for a child needing constant medical care for HIV and glycogen storage disease.

  • Proceeds from a local Rotary Club event funded essential equipment for physiotherapists working with physically challenged children.

  • Health and Personal Hygiene Programmes were introduced for 7th and 8th-grade students in rural government schools.
