LDC operates with a model built on sustainability and accountability:
- Zero Administration Costs: All board members volunteer their time and personally cover admin/overhead. That means 100% of donations go directly into projects.
- Self-Sustaining, Lasting Impact: Projects are designed not just to deliver short-term help but to empower communities to create their own solutions (in education, health, etc.), so that change is sustainable.
- High Transparency & Accountability: LDC has systems in place to monitor project results and ensure that funds reach those in need without being siphoned or diluted by middlemen.
- Wide, Meaningful Impact: The work spans multiple areas, including helping those with hearing disabilities to hear, learn, and thrive, celebrating education and culture, helping rural children with resources and community engagement, and supporting orphaned children living with HIV, tackling stigma, nutritional needs, and education access.
